What is your role at Mavericks and what does it involve?
I am the QA Gatekeeper for our applications. I take on the important responsibility in making sure that our applications are stable and usable for our end users. I try to test the application in different ways to ensure the application satisfies the end user requirements.
What is a typical day like for you?
My day typically comprises of the following:
Collaborate with the team
Bridge between the product and engineering teams
Test and automate the stories
Refactor and maintain the automation suite
Finalize the stories to be deployed for the deployment cycle
Help to unblock clarifications and requirements
How has your experience at Mavericks been thus far?
The experience has been great on the learning aspects. With the open culture, we are encouraged to experiment and make what we are working on successful.

What motivates you at work everyday?
I will fall and laugh loudly sometimes and I can dance in a funny way.
What is the motto you live by?
Have a good work life balance, help each other, play to your strengths, constantly learn and update yourself.
How has working on client projects been like?
I am currently working on a Singapore Government product, which is a day to day application in Singapore. My current team is friendly and collaborative. They pay attention to my words and are open to improvements.
What has been the most challenging experience at Mavericks thus far?
I was a scrum master and tried different testing types and methodologies in web and mobile and performance factors in one of our internal products which was challenging and interesting.
What is your proudest achievement at Mavericks thus far?
I could do minor development related tasks and conduct sprint activities. Also, I learnt various tech stacks in testing.
What is a project that you are looking forward to taking on in the future?
I am really looking forward to projects where I get to apply different testing types and methodologies.
