What is your role at Mavericks and what does it involve?
I am a HR Consultant at Mavericks. In my role, I mainly partake in Hiring, which involves reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates. However, I do help out as much as I can in other areas which could range from administrative duties or social media. Everyday is different depending on the task that we have to do. However, it generally involves daily stand ups and regular meetings with the team for discussion.
How has your experience at Mavericks been thus far?
It has been really enjoyable so far. The team communicates a lot which helps with transparency in the team. It also helps that the team is very open to feedback and that we are able to brainstorm and share our ideas.
What motivates you at work everyday?
The people here really motivate me. Everyone is really driven and at the same time understanding of one another.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
A fun fact about me is that I am very extreme in planning my days/ week. I have 3 separate calendars for my reference. It keeps me organised and calm!
How has the process of coming into HR been like for you?
I had previous experience working in recruitment. However, the dynamics were vastly different. It took me some time to pick up the skills and working style of Mavericks. However, when I did manage to do so, it was something I really enjoyed.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates interested to join Mavericks and the Hiring Team?
I think it's worth a shot. Come in with an open mind and positive attitude!
